Ubisoft has announced the release date for the Wii version of Prince Of Persia: The Forgotten Sands. After releasing the first Wii screenshots yesterday, the company announced that the game will arrive on the console on 14 May.
The Forgotten Sands isn't the first Prince Of Persia game for Wii - that would be Rival Swords - but it is the first that has been built from the ground up for the console.
It is set in the same universe as the excellent Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time. After leaving his old man's kingdom to prove his worth, the Prince is drawn towards a mysterious realm where he'll have to use his acrobatic abilities and powers to survive and save a mystic palace from evil.
As ever, the Prince will be using his skills to avoid traps, solve puzzles and beat enemies over the course of a 15-hour adventure.
Ubisoft tell us that The Forgotten Sands will deliver a smooth, clear and impressive graphical experience on the Wii. The first screens certainly appear to back this claim up but, as we said yesterday, does they look a bit too good?
The release date for the Xbox, DS, PC, PS3, PSP and PC versions have yet to be confirmed.
