Sony Computer Entertainment has acquired Media Molecule - the Surrey, UK-based creator of LittleBigPlanet.
The multi award-winning studio already had an exclusive relationship with Sony, but the acquisition formalises this 'special relationship'.
Gamers have now created over two million levels for LittleBigPlanet, which the community to download and play for free.
The game won over 90 awards for LittleBigPlanet, including 2 BAFTAs and 8 AIAS Interactive Achievement Awards.
