The "next evolution" of Pac-Man will be revealed at E3, Namco's announced.
Press invitations for a Pac-Man 30th Anniversary event being held during the big gaming get-together next month were fired out yesterday, promising not only to celebrate the long history of the pill-munching series, but also to reveal "the future of the franchise."
The invitations note that "unreleased titles on console, mobile, arcade, and more" will be on display in Los Angeles.
One game the publisher could be referencing is new multiplayer arcade game Pac-Man Battle Royale, which was showcased for the first time last month at the 2010 Amusement Expo in Las Vegas.
Or it could be a first-person ghost shooter. We'll let you know.
