Eutechnyx, a world leading independent videogame developer, has received a £6 Million investment from Amsterdam-based venture capital outfit Prime Technology Ventures.
PTV specialise in investing in innovative technology-driven companies and has dished out the dollar for "a ground-breaking new title set to revolutionise the racing genre".
"When we saw what Eutechnyx was working on, we knew we had to be involved, particularly given Eutechnyx's track record, design heritage and jaw-dropping technology," said Monish Suri, general partner at Prime Technology Ventures.
"As an independent developer, this infusion will help us to continue to forge our own destiny within a rapidly changing games industry," said Eutechnyx CEO Brian Jobling.
"Not only does the investment enable us to continue to innovate, we can continue to do so on our own terms."
Eutechnyx is one of the largest independent developers in the world, with studios in three continents and now, it seems, a potentially exciting addition to the racing genre.
