US Navy to get Wii Fit

Report says video games could help newcomers increase fitness

Military boot camp could get a whole lot happier after reports suggest that games like Wii Fit and Dance Dance Revolution could be used to get military newcomers into shape.

Speaking to the Navy Times, Navy Surgeon General Vice Admiral (what a title) Adam Robinson said that motion control fitness games could, "help newcomers to the military service build up the endurance they need to get in shape safely."

A report in the Times said that today's recruits are "not used to the amount of standing and running that comes in recruit training" and that games like Wii Fit would be a more familiar introduction and gentle introduction into training.

Of course it could all go horribly wrong if new recruits fall off the Wii Fit board and become sex obsessed wrecks.
