World Wrestling Entertainment Inc. has filed a US trademark for a video game called 'WWE All-Stars' - and we're expecting a full reveal from THQ at E3.
Why? Because it sounds suspiciously like the THQ game outed by WWE commentator Jim Ross last week.
Ross said that he is set to record audio for the game - suggesting it's in the latter stages of development.
He revealed that 'Legends compete with active Superstars' in the game.
That sounds like a lot of stars to us. Imagine if it was all the stars. Like, WWE All Stars. Remember the name.
THQ boss Brian Farrell revealed last month in the company's earnings call that it was readying three WWE games for E3 - and All Stars definitely appears to be 'the big reveal'.
"For fiscal 2011, we plan to deliver another high-quality WWE Smackdown vs. Raw game this fall, building on this billion dollar game franchise," stated Farrell. "We also plan to go live with WWE Online in Korea later this year. We will be demonstrating both of these games at E3 as well as unveiling a new WWE brand extension at the show."
Hello, 'brand extension'.
We've contacted THQ for comment.
