The world's first look at Activision's GoldenEye 007 for Wii has arrived, via the latest issue of Official Nintendo Magazine (we're not counting the leaked trailer, obviously).
Nintendo's just announced the remake at its E3 press conference in LA - and it'll be released this Christmas.
The first glaringly obvious fact of course is that original developer Rare is not on board for this game. Instead James Bond 007: Nightfire creators, Eurocom have taken the helm to steer Commander Bond into a new decade.
As we saw in the trailer, Daniel Craig fills 007's tuxedo where once Pierce Brosnan dished out the one-liners and many locations, weapons and scenarios from the N64 original will be revisited on Wii - Facility air vents and "epic" tank levels included.
Excitingly, all of the multiplayer maps from the N64 original are promised, but with a new lick of paint, and four player split-screen has been expanded up to eight players with online battles.
GoldenEye for Wii is also set to include a Modern Warfare style unlock system, which rewards players with new weapons and equipment as they level up.
The remake is also set to include "elite enemy AI", joypad and Wii Remote control schemes plus gestures for opening doors and chinning enemies in the face.
You can find everything you need to know about GoldenEye Wii - and the first screenshots - in Official Nintendo Magazine issue 57, on sale tomorrow. Buy your copy online and have it delivered to your door.
