250GB Xbox 360 'Slim' fully detailed

Touch-sensitive buttons, 802.11n Wi-Fi, quieter fan...

Microsoft has told CVG the full feature set of its new 250 GB Xbox 360 'Slim'.

The model, first shown off the the platform holder's E3 conference in LA this morning contains:

* Gloss black finish with chrome accents.
* Touch sensitive buttons for on/off and eject.
* 'Whisper' quiet: 360's usual twin fan has been replaced with one large fan for improved acoustics.
* 45 nanometer and integrated CPU and GPU
* Wi-Fi: Built-in 802.11n Wi-Fi
* Hard Drive: 250GB internal drive
* USB slots - Five USB slots; three in the back and two at the front
* Smaller and more efficient power supply. Not interchangeable with 360 Elite.
* Optical audio our port integrated on back of console for AV system connection.

There's just one sticking point: Your old hard drives aren't compatible with the shiny new system. Microsoft told us that you'll be able to transfer your data via a USB device or the Xbox 360 Hard Drive Transfer kit... both of which cost money. More on that here.

So there you have it. We're getting hands-on, unboxing etc. in Los Angeles shortly.
