EA has "absolutely no intention" of releasing a new FIFA Street anytime soon, according to FIFA 11 lead producer, David Rutter.
When asked by CVG if it intends to compete with the likes of Ubisoft's Pure Football with a return to the arcadey niche market, Rutter replied: "We have absolutely no intention of doing that!"
In fact, for fans of simply knocking the ball about there's not much good news from the FIFA team.
On the subject of FIFA's loading screen arena kick abouts, Rutter says there's "not a great deal" of innovation coming at the moment. However, "we have got some cool stuff coming out that'll be released later," he added.
"I can tell you that we've spent a lot of time with fans, and they spend a great deal of time there learning to play FIFA," he said. "I'm not that kind of personality - I'm straight in and play, good or bad. Other people go straight into management, or simply head-to-head..."
