Square has rounded a group of devs known for their work on the Final Fantasy series, among other classics, to work on strategy RPG Tactics Ogre: Let us Cling Together for PSP.
It's a rezzed-up remake of the 1995 Super NES classic which only released in Japan. The game was later released in the US on PlayStation 1, but this new PSP version will be its debut on UK soil.
The original game was highly praised for its branching plotline, which players make decision throughout the game that affect the story and eventual ending, of which there were many.
Expect the same from the remake, along with nicely updated visuals and improved gameplay. Details are thin, but Square has Hiroshi Minagawa in the director's chair, along with Akihiko Yoshida handling character design, Yasumi Matsuno on game design, and composers Hitoshi Sakimoto and Masaharu Iwata on board, all of which worked on top games like Vagrant Story, FF Tactics and FFXII. Iwata also did music in Soul Calibur, which is top stuff.
A release is yet to be set. Screenshots are below.
