Fight fans are buzzing about the Street Fighter X Tekken announcement from Comic-con - but it looks like they're going to have to wait a long time for a release date.
Capcom producer Yoshinori Ono told Japanese gaming mag Famitsu after the announcement that the firm is planning to release the title in two years' time.
Street Fighter X Tekken, which is headed to 360 and PS3, is being developed using the Street Fighter IV engine.
Talking of the rivalry between Capcom and Tekken developer Namco, Ono added: "We'd like to challenge one-another in all areas, including sales, and get fans of both series excited."
A second, Namco-led product, Tekken X Street Fighter, was also announced at Comic-Con. Namco has reportedly confirmed it will be out after the Capcom-led version.
Namco has already laid down the gauntlet - calling the two releases "competition" rather than "collaboration".
