Red Dead Redemption 2: What we want to see

Here's our list: But where do YOU want it to go?

We loved Red Dead Redemption. You loved Red Dead Redemption. Now, with that elusive '100% complete' stat depressingly flashing in front of our eyes, our thoughts are already turning to Red Dead Redemption 2 (or, indeed, 'the third Red Dead').

Smash hit video games have a dispiriting viral quality to them - with dodgy imitations of the biggest success stories rushing the market (chunky space marines, anyone?).

But you can always count on Rockstar to buck the trend. Red Dead Redemption proved that the Wild West is a criminally underused setting - and we'd definitely like to see the megastar studio tackle the Spaghetti-Western genre once more.

However, that's not to say RDR is perfect - or that there aren't a few things we'd like Rockstar to consider when it gets round to making the inevitable follow-up...

Red Dead Redemption can be a jarring game. Occasionally this is a positive thing - like when you're shocked by the breathtaking vistas or stunning character design. However, far too often it's because of the overwhelming amount of illusion-shattering bugs.

A quick YouTube search is enough to measure just how glitch-happy Red Dead Redemption really is. The game is constantly surprising players with oddities - even if they are kind of loveable. (Have you seen the donkey lady or the cougar man? You really must).

Although the majority of these bugs are discovered by chance, the game has its fair share of game-breaking bugs. It's hard to laugh after you fight your way through a fortress of bandits only to be launched into the air by a wooden fence and plummet to your doom.

We all know games can't be perfect, but they shouldn't be this buggy - even one as massive in scale and graphically ambitious as Red Dead Redemption. Hopefully Rockstar will spend a little more time stress-testing the game's sequel. It's all fun and games until you're being chased by a rabid cougar man and you find that your only escape vehicle is a rocket horse.
