Red Dead Redemption 2: What we want to see

Here's our list: But where do YOU want it to go?

The Spaghetti-Western is one of few genres that has an easily traceable lineage. At its roots lies Sergio Leone's classic A Fistful of Dollars - which stared Clint Eastwood as the iconic 'Man with No Name'. However, A Fist Full of Dollars is actually a remake of Akira Kurosawa's Yojimbo.

It would be nice to see pop culture Hoovers Rockstar - in some small way, at least - return to the roots of the genre and set their next Red Dead title in 1960's Japan, as a period piece reminiscent of Kurosawa's Yojimbo.

The most interesting story aspect of Yojimbo was the inclusion of a character with a gun. In a world where knives and swords reined supreme the appearance of a ranged firearm played havoc with the conventions of the time period. It would be fascinating to see Rockstar take a similar story element and weave it into their next title.
