Deus Ex: Human Revolution has a hard act to follow since the original Deus Ex captured the hearts of so many ten years ago.
The sequel, Deus Ex: Invisible War, was somewhat overshadowed by its predecessor but Deus Ex: Human Revolution's game director Jean-Francois Dugas thinks he's got the key to making sure the third in the series has as big an impact as the original.
"The first Deus Ex was one of the first games that was really bringing those types of choices to gamers, and I think in the end, that's something that all gamers want," Dugas told XBW.
"They want to feel smart about their experience, they want to feel, "oh I thought about it and it worked," and that's what made Deus Ex so powerful. This is what we're trying to capture again here."
The first Deus Ex: Human Revolution gameplay footage was released a couple of weeks ago. Have a gander, it's looking pretty special.
