LucasArts has cut an unspecified number of staff following the completion of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2.
While the company didn't go into too many details, one former studio member labelled the cutbacks a "massacre" - telling Kotaku that up to 85 employees had been let go.
"LucasArts is reorganising its teams to better address the needs of the internal studio," the firm said in a statement. "Unfortunately, this means adjusting staffing. LucasArts continues to be committed to creating a first-class internal studio - and to fostering relationships with trusted external partners - in order to deliver quality games that amaze and inspire fans."
While unconfirmed, the news adds weight to the recent rumour that development of The Force Unleashed 3 has been canned. The second game's due for release this October.
