Not that Wii gamers will be terribly surprised they're not invited to the online gaming party, but EA has confirmed that online play has been left out of the Wii version of NBA Jam.
The Xbox 360 and PS3 versions, which will come free via a download code packed with NBA Elite 11, will have online multiplayer modes via PSN and Xbox Live, but Nintendo gamers will have to settle with local play.
It's a trade-off though, for the Remix Tour mode, which Kotaku reports won't be in the 360 or PS3 versions. Remix Tour features new challenges and boss battles that only Wii owners will get to play.
EA hasn't offered any reason as to why multiplayer was omitted from the Wii game, and considering EA's Tiger Woods, Madden and FIFA games all managed online multiplayer on the console we can't see any technical reason why NBA Jam couldn't.
