Formula 1 2010 won't see post-release DLC, Codies has said, but lead designer Stuart Hood would still 'love' to make some classic cars and tracks available in the future.
Hood told CVG that if this year's F1 game takes off there may be the opportunity to do DLC for F1 2011.
"One of the things, for example, we would love to do as DLC would be classic tracks or classic cars. I'd love to do that," he said.
"Bit of a licensing nightmare, we're stretched to breaking point anyway trying to get this main game out and we're deving up to the final few days of submission, which you should never really do."
"But we were eager to get everything we could into this extra game. There was no way we could do extra stuff for DLC," he explained.
"Maybe, if the game takes off this year, we'd consider doing it in the future, I'd love nothing more than DLC."
F1 2010 will be Codemaster's biggest ever launch having shipped 2 million copies worldwide already.
We'll see how quickly it gets off the mark when it hits shelves tomorrow.
