For me what Resistance 3 needs is less colour, more grit and a campaign more like the first. In my opinion aswell The Chimera have the character to be one of if not gamings most terrifying enemys. They were kinda of threatening in the first, dumb as s***t in Resistance 2, for me the key to Resistance 3 is make the Chimera a truly terrifying enemy.

I agree, also loving how much more frightening the chimera look, less of a zombie-zoned-out look, and more of a rabid ferocious look.
Hazarding a guess, i dont think there'll be one main character, but more like a group of survivors and a level playing as a different one. They look like refugees, except trying to escape the wasteland.. cant wait to play the story - thats what iv followed this series for.

I have to say i'm very excited now after seeing these screen shots, the alians remind me a bit of the enemies in Gears. I think this game will be good, i mean it does'nt come out till next Oct/November so they have loads of time to get the game play right. After playing R2 it felt like they rushed it out the door a bit.

The screens are a bit of a mixed bag, they go from looking better than Gears 3 to looking worse than R:FoM and the style looks grittier than R2 but more cartoony than 1. I'm interested to see how they change the gameplay from 2 since there was a faily big fan backlash over it because they went from a gritty, almost survival horror like game with the odd huge Halo style battles in the original to an almost mindless COD clone in the second, complete with a broken perk system and broken aiming. It was so disappointing that the official forums went from being fairly active and friendly with a large competitive community after R:FoM to being nearly dead within a few months of R2's release. If they make it like R:FoM with some improvements and better graphics then R3 will be amazing, if they continue with what they did in R2 it will be a waste of time.

Judging from some of those screens I think its going for the survival/horror route. RFOM was really good when in the old tunnels with just the torch for light, really sh*t me up.

Wasn't a fan of both Resistance games because they didn't really justify the PS3's high price at the time and IMO were rubbish. Killzone 2 is the same but at least Killzone looked pretty.

Though both games have their flaws, I genuinely enjoyed playing both of them and had a lot of fun. I'll not likely get this on launch day, but I have high hopes for it. Hopefully Insomniac won't be rushed like it seemed they were for R2.

I agree with the above, more than enough shooters for my liking and the first too were mediocre too.
