X-Men Arcade headed to PSN/XBLA

Classic X-Men coin cruncher bound for consoles

It turns out X-Men Destiny isn't the only action fans of the crime-fighting heroes have to look forward to. Konami's classic X-Men Arcade game is on its way to PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade.

Konami showed off the below announcement trailer at this weekend's New York Comic Con show (via 1UP), which reveals that the game will also pack new features for console gamers.

This includes six-player drop-in-drop-out co-op gameplay, which lets extra players jump into the action any time they want. Players will apparently be able to "create custom matchups" too, presumably pitting any characters they want against each other in brawls to the death.

You'll probably also appreciate the ability to change the difficulty setting, so you can tone it down from the original which was obviously set to ball-busting hard so you'd keep slamming in those coins.

There's no release date yet, the trailer only saying it's "coming soon" but we expect to see it on update lists before Christmas.
