Medal of Honor enjoyed "great" first day sales in the US, according to publisher EA, which opted not to provide any figures.
The company said that the shooter "is well in position for an outstanding holiday" ahead of its UK launch tomorrow.
GameStop also forecast a strong performance at US retail for the title.
"We anticipate Medal of Honor to be one of the biggest video game titles launched this year," said Bob McKenzie, the firm's merchandising VP. "This underscores how video gaming has emerged as mainstream entertainment."
EA said previously that Mreached an all time high for the franchise ahead of release.
Despite a lukewarm early critical reception, which saw EA shares take a hit, Medal of Honor currently has a Metacritic rating of 76, with EA claiming European review scores for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC title are 'soaring'.
