Microsoft's confirmed the UK-specific additions included in the just-released Xbox 360 Dashboard update.
The Blighty upgrades include improvements to Sky Player, Zune Marketplace and more.
Sky Player now features a brand new interface, plus fresh community features allowing users to recommend their favourite TV shows to their friends and create their own customised planner, says MS.
From today, Live members in the UK can also buy movies from the Zune Marketplace to own permanently, for use on the big screen via Xbox Live or on a PC or Windows Phone 7.
The new Dashboard also sees the introduction of Zune Music, which allows 360 users to purchase a Zune Pass subscription (£8.99 per month) and stream unlimited music from the Zune catalogue to their TV . Users can build their own playlists or let Smart DJ do it for them using the music they already like, says MS.
Gaming families (we know you're out there) might also be interested in the Xbox Live Gold Family Pack, which from this month offers up to four individual Xbox Live Gold memberships for £69.99.
