Battlefield: Bad Company 2 getting new map pack

DICE confirms more DLC on the eve of CoD: Black Ops' launch

EA DICE has announced plans to launch VIP Map Pack 7 for Battlefield: Bad Company 2.

Free for PC and console VIP players, the DLC will contain reworked versions of two Battlefield: Bad Company multiplayer maps, and two all-new multiplayer maps based on locations in Bad Company 2's singleplayer campaign.

The updated maps are "fan favourites" Oasis and Harvest Day, while the all-new ones are called Cold War and Heavy Metal.

Oasis and Harvest Day will feature "full destruction, enhanced graphics and lighting, and remastered ambient sounds and backgrounds".

No release date or pricing was announced, but there's an interview with level designer Cristian Pavel through the link.

Last week, DICE launched a flamethrower reveal trailer and a new batch of screens for the upcoming Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Vietnam expansion.
