Shogun 2 release date confirmed

Sega commits to March 15, 2011 date

Sega's confirmed that Shogun 2: Total War will be released on March 15, 2011.

Shogun 2 takes place in 16th century Japan, where a volatile political climate encourages Warlords to attempt to take control of the nation.

Creative Assembly's community manager, Craig Laycock has previously said it won't ship Shogun 2: Total War until its enemy AI is "perfect" to ensure it avoids the AI issues seen in the latest Total War.

We're guessing it's almost ready, then.

Check out our interview with Creative Assembly about bugs, StarCraft, Shogun 2 and the future.

I'm counting down the days! I love Shogun 1 but I hate how it won't run on modern computers for some reason, and the improvements from the later TW's with the Japanese setting may well make for the best RTS of all time!

    Jizzez... for 3 reasons
    1. Shogun is looking amazing
    2. They are closer to remaking rome total war
    3. I've been waiting since Empire for a melee central game

    This is looking fooking amazing!

And like those above have said, the megaton, potentially-greatest-game-of-all-time announcement of Rome II (or Elder Scrolls 5!!!) is drawing ever nearer as the days pass in this cold world (or maybe its just like that in England).

If in 1 day TES:V, Rome 2, HL ep3 and ME3 we're all releasing I think I'd commit suicide so i could forever live happy and never be disappointed
