Bad Company 2 Vietnam dev diary shows new weapons

See how the community helped shape the upcoming DLC

EA's just released this new developer diary for upcoming Battlefield: Bad Company 2 DLC the Vietnam pack.

The weapon differences between the main game's and Vietnam's are actually "quite big", according to Daniel Matros, community manager at developer DICE.

The US M16 and the M79 grenade launcher, for example, no longer have scopes or red dot sights, meaning "you have to get really close and up personal this time just to take someone out".

Like you'll be doing with the new flamethrower.

There'll also be plenty of vehicle-based action, with two new tanks, American patrol boats and Hueys all available.

The still-undated DLC, which is due out this year for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC, will cost 1200 MS Points on Microsoft's console.
