Epic Mickey disappoints in first week

Disney platformer fails to make top 40 in launch weekend

Disney Epic Mickey's disappointingly failed to break the UK top 40 in its opening weekend.

The platformer - constructed by Warren Spector's Junction Point Studios - even missed out on the Wii chart Top Ten this week, debuting at No.11.

Disney Interactive - who we've contacted for a statement - will likely point to the impending Christmas retail rush for Mickey's source of success, but it's still disappointing to see yet another original, 'core' Wii game fail to leave its mark at the gate. But it's still early days.

If you missed it, stick your eyes on our Disney Epic Mickey review. It's no Mario Galaxy, but it's charming and worthwhile nonetheless.
