Uncharted 3 'not being forced' to use Move

Sony doesn't go against our judgement, says Naughty Dog

Naughty Dog isn't being forced to include Move and Sixaxis support in Uncharted 3, the developer's said.

Speaking in the latest issue of Edge, which is in shops from tomorrow (December 21), co-president Christophe Balestra and game director Justin Richmond insisted Sony wouldn't go against their judgement.

"Sony's never said that to us," Balestra said, when quzzed on conspiracy theories that platform holders force things like Move and Sixaxis on their developers.

"They're not telling us we have to use Sixaxis or Move. They'll say it'd be nice, of course, but they're not going to go against our judgement if we say it's not the right thing to do."

Richmond added: "They're always going to ask us to put all their crazy stuff in there and see if it works, but they accept it when it doesn't."

The first Uncharted 3 previews landed last week, alongside some pretty spectacular gameplay footage.

Edge 223 includes an in-depth eight page preview of the sequel, along with the full chat with Naughty Dog on Tomb Raider, story telling and mutant plants.
