Dungeons & Dragons announced for XBLA, PSN, PC

Action RPG Daggerdale landing in Spring 2011

Atari's announced Dungeons & Dragons Daggerdale, which will be landing on Xbox Live Arcade, PSN and PC in Spring 2011.

Daggerdale - an action RPG - is described as "an engaging multi-player experience" that introduces a "riveting narrative" and "treacherous new characters".

In a story that absolutely no-one unfamiliar with D&D will understand, Daggerdale centers on the desperate struggle to defeat the evil Rezlus and his Zhentarim in their attempt to invade and conquer the Dalelands.

Solo and co-op play for up to four players is promised, along with a wide assortment of weapons, feats and powers to defeat a wide range of baddies.

Atari CEO, Jim Wilson said of the game: "The Dungeons & Dragons franchise remains a priority for Atari as we continue to build upon the ever-evolving narrative with Dungeons & Dragons Daggerdale.

"As the first D&D cross-platform digital download title we look forward to expanding the franchise to a growing gaming audience."
