New art from Square Enix's new Tomb Raider reboot has been released online, courtesy of Game Informer.
The images show a darker, grittier Lara Croft than we're perhaps used to seeing - and carry the burden of a very noticeable influence from the Uncharted series.

The new Tomb Raider title stars a 21-year-old Lara. Square has confirmed that the game will feature "brutal deaths" including a deranged man stabbing Lara in the chest and then closing her eyes after she's dead. We reckon that one might just be a dream/nightmare sequence.
Other features include a new free aim shooting system and the need to forage food and water to survive.
Meanwhile, Square has assured fans that it has no interest in exploiting its new Lara as a sex object.
No official release date has been given for the title, which is being created by Crystal Dynamics.
