Valve's set to release a special version of Portal 2 next year with levels designed especially for Razer's impressive Hydra motion controller.

The PC peripheral - which is said to work like a pair of PlayStation Move controllers minus the need for a camera - will be used in special puzzles that have players stretching a cube to create makeshift bridges and weights (see it in action here).

The Hydra version of Portal 2 will be available in a bundle released early next year, expected to cost less than $100 USD.

New publisher EA recently confirmed a Portal 2 release date of April 21 on PS3, 360, Mac and PC.
