EA and Funcom have announced that they will co-publish The Secret World.
EA joins the Anarchy Online and Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures developer in delivering the already popular MMO title, which has an already thriving community even before launch.
The Secret World is set for the PC, although a release date is yet to be announced, and will see players create and progress their character without classes and levels in one of three secret societies.
Funcom's third MMO will take players to real-world, modern day locations such as Egypt, London and New York to battle for power against eachother and mythical monsters.
"We are thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Funcom, one of the world-leaders in the development of massively multiplayer online games," said David DeMartini, senior vice president and general manager of EA Partners.
"We are very excited to be able to take part in the growing online gaming category with such a highly anticipated title as 'The Secret World'."
"We are tremendously excited to be working with what is undoubtedly the world-leading games publisher for the past decade, and it is also a great testament to the fantastic work of our development team," said Funcom CEO Trond Arne Aas.
"The experience and the knowledge that Electronic Arts brings to the table will be instrumental in allowing us to realise the full potential of The Secret World."
Funcom released a new The Secret World teaser trailer and a batch of screenshots back in March.
