Production of the Nintendo DSi, which launched in Japan in the autumn of 2008, has reportedly been discontinued.
Retail sources apparently told Ameblo (via Kotaku) that no more units are being made to replenish stocks, which are said to be starting to run dry in some areas of the country.
The larger-screened DSi XL is seemingly still in production, according to the report.
The news comes as Nintendo gears up to launch 3DS in Japan next month and in the US and Europe in March.
The platform holder revealed the full Japanese 3DS launch line-up this weekend. Super Street Fighter IV will join six other titles available on day one.
