In light of reports that Nintendo of Japan is in the process of phasing out the DSi in order to pursue a DSi XL / 3DS-only offering, the firm's UK arm has told us that it has no plans to cease DSi production this year.
"We plan to still manufacture and supply DSi consoles in a range of colours in the UK in 2011," the firm said in a statement. "On an on-going basis, continuing supply is based on retail and consumer demand."
Good news for those that don't fancy forking out for the upcoming 3DS or the big-screen DSi XL, we guess.
Nintendo revealed the full Japanese 3DS launch line-up this weekend ahead of the system's launch next month. Super Street Fighter IV will join six other titles available on day one.
