Square Enix UK's just put its official seal on Final Fantasy XIII-2, promising it "exceeds Final Fantasy XIII in every aspect".
"Final Fantasy XIII-2 is currently in production with an aim for producing high quality game content which exceeds Final Fantasy XIII in every aspect; namely, a brand-new story which stems from the previous title as well as a battle system which has evolved further since XIII - and more," the publisher says.
FFXIII-2 will be released in Europe and other PAL territories next winter on PS3 and 360, SE confirmed.
The first Final Fantasy XIII-2 images and art emerged this morning.

Let's hope it is better - I'm a long time FF fan and really hated the last one - I literally went through the first hour and a half bashing buttons not even looking at the screen reading the News of The World.
It picked up but gawd did it drag on for the first third.

FF13 was insanely boring for the first 20 odd hours, so much so I actually ended up resenting the characters for making be run down corridors, endlessly......
Didn't make it beyond the 20th hour, will and desire simply left my body, can't say I regret it

Anyway hope XIII-2 is a vast improvement. I wouldn't mind if the Paradigm shift stayed but it needs to be better balanced.

No dice Squeenix, why the hell would I be interested in a SEQUEL to a game that completely betrayed me as a fan of the Franchise? That makes no sense!! They didn't listen to focus groups, they didn't think about what we actually wanted to play and made a terrible example of a videogame in XIII and indeed XIV as well. Never again. Now I'm just waiting for the inevitable destruction of Kingdom hearts to put the final nail in the Squeenix coffin. :/Hate, hate, HATE FFXIII.
