3D is not mass-market, according to Nintendo, but the company believes the launch of 3DS will soon change that.
Speaking to the New York Times, Nintendo US president Reggie Fils-Aime said the unique product - which he described as being in a "category of one" - will lead to millions of consumers embracing 3D technology.
"Right now, 3D is not mass-market," the exec said. "In our view, Nintendo 3DS will be the first mass-market 3D device."
His views tally with those of CVG's Andy, who thinks Hollywood, Sky and Samsung should be taking serious note of the Japanese company's efforts in the marketplace.
