Virtua Tennis 4 confirmed for 360, Wii

Kinect and MotionPlus support arriving with previously announced PS3 version

Sega's just announced that Virtua Tennis 4 will be hitting Xbox 360 and Wii with Kinect and MotionPlus support, alongside the previously announced PS3 version, which will be Move and 3D compatible.

The firm says the title boasts "its strongest ever" roster across all platforms, featuring the world's top stars and seven players making their Virtua Tennis debuts, including Juan Martín Del Potro, Fernando Gonzalez, Caroline Wozniacki and Laura Robson.

The game will also offer a totally new World Tour career mode designed to encourage replay value with an element of off-court fame.

Sega says: "Each decision affects a player's career path meaning no two careers will ever be the same, while a brand new on-court feature makes for even more dramatic singles and doubles matches.

"Players can build up their Match Momentum gauge over the course of a match and revel in their improved ability as their players grow in confidence."

Virtua Tennis 4 is set for release this spring.

Looks great and nice to see Sega supporting Kinect too. Personally, I'll (probably) be getting the PS3 version as I've already invested in Move. Hopefully, it makes use of the sub-controller too.

Saying that, Top Spin 4 is out soon too, so hopefully some demo's will help me decide which is the better of the two.

Aah, the lovely Virtua Tennis. One of two reasons why I bought a Dreamcast. Powerstone being the other...

I'd imagine that this works better on the PS3 or Wii than on Kinect, unless you get a tennis racket peripheral with the game. Now that would be impressive.

Still wouldn't work as well. It's got to track wrist rotation and it can't.Good luck swinging a racquet around your front room.Hope your house is georgian.I really can't see why people don't understand these motion limitations.

If implemented well, this could be a killer Move title.
