Ubisoft confirms four games for 3DS launch day

Rayman, Splinter Cell and more...

Ubisoft has confirmed that it will be releasing four games for 3DS when the console launches in the UK on 25 March.

Yes, Rayman 3D, Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars 3D, Splinter Cell 3D and Asphalt 3D will all be available on day one of the 3DS launch.

They'll be followed a week later by Rabbids 3D and Combat Of Giants: Dinosaurs 3D on 1 April.

Three of these launch games are remakes. Rayman 3D is a 3DS remake of the Dreamcast platformer, Splinter Cell is a remake of Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory while Asphalt is a 3D version of an iPhone game.

However Ghost Recon is a brand-new game that takes the series into new territory. It's a top-down strategy game in the same vein as Advance Wars.

Ubisoft's other 3DS games - James Noir's Hollywood Crimes and Driver Renegade - will be released for 3DS before June.

Nintendo neglected to reveal the launch line-up at the 3DS preview event but the current list of confirmed launch games is as follows:-

Super Street Fighter IV 3D
The Sims 3D
PES 2011 3D
Asphalt 3D
Rayman 3D
Splinter Cell 3D
Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars 3D
