Andy Gray's future as a commentator of EA's FIFA games hangs in the balance following his sacking from Sky Sports earlier this week.
EA Sports has refused to make an announcement as to whether or not Gray will be included in FIFA 12, but indicated that a statement would come eventually.
"EA Sports has not made any announcements about our in-game commentators for FIFA for 2011," an EA Sports rep told Eurogamer.
"Those announcements will be made later this year."
While we can't really take much from the statement, it's perhaps telling that EA hasn't been quick to back Andy Gray like it did with other affiliated sports stars who slipped into controversy such as Wayne Rooney and Tiger Woods.
Konami dropped pundit Mark Lawrenson from commentator duties in PES 2011 last year, favouring Jim Beglin.
Could we see Lawro make a move to FIFA this year? Or perhaps Jamie Redknapp? Who would you choose, readers?
