The studio said via the official Crysis account, "At this time, Crytek & EA are glad to confirm that we'll be releasing a pre-launch Crysis 2 multiplayer demo on PC! Stay tuned for details."

The Crysis 2 multiplayer demo was released exclusively for Xbox 360 on Tuesday although Crytek has had to work on technical issues since.

The game is set for shelves on March 25.

Beast PC's only have one aim in life, and that is to benchmark crytek games. Your PC will get up and leave you if you dont. Treat it right.

Anyway, what harm can downloading the PC demo do. We all know its going to be several times better than the console versions.

Everyone wants to get in on the CoD/MW/MoH multiplayer action.

Crysis was never about multiplayer. Release a singleplayer demo instead. Some people (given, mostly outside the 12-15 demographic) still enjoy good singleplayer games.

Can anyone in this business "grow a pear" please, and just stick to doing what's right, instead of doing what ever the lastest trend-of-the-year dictates.

Good stuff. Pity it's not a PC campaign demo. As has been said, Crysis was never about multiplayer.

Can't wait to see what it looks like running on a PC.

I honestly reckon that 2 on the PC will look better than the original or Warhead (technically at least), run better, and require lower specs than either.
The original was incredibly demanding, then throw in the sort of "3/4 sandbox" bit. There was so much random empty space to "explore". Some of it was good, it's a jungle, but 2 won't need that. It ate your PC. 2 looks more structured, maybe a bit like Half Life 2 city bits I reckon only more open.
That allows them to polish a LOT more and still require less power than the original. They've also learnt some great tricks. Excited to see this :)

Crysis 2 will look better on a low-end gaming PC like mine than on the 360 or PS3.

There are too many other interesting games coming out in the next 6 months, though, for even an AAA shooter like this to warrant my time.

It plays just like Call Of Duty online, which makes me wonder what the COD-haters will make of it.

It's not much like CoD. It's the same on paper, but in feeling it's very different. There's much more focus on movement, agility, route choices etc.

Yeah, yeah, it plays just like COD.

Goldeneye 64! That's what Crysis should aspire to be.
