EA has confirmed the first major update for FIFA 11's Ultimate Team mode.
The update includes new features such as the 'Play A Friend Challenge' and friend leaderboards. The update, which will go live on February 17, also makes over 50 improvements to the Ultimate Team experience.
The new Play A Friend Challenge enables players to test their skills against a friend's Ultimate Team and challenge his or her squad, even when the friend is offline. Results are recorded and presented the next time they log on to their console.
The leaderboard allows players to compare progress in the FIFA 11 Ultimate Team against friends automatically with personalised leaderboards. Whether you are a trader, expert team builder, top entrepreneur in the auctions, or simply want to compare the value of your club, the leaderboard will track and allow you to compare your performance with others.
EA Sports is hard at work on FIFA 12, and has detailed some of the improvements you can expect to see when the game releases later this year.
