Battlefield 3 is set for release in fall (or autumn to us Brits) this year according to a reveal trailer that has hit the net.
Not giving anything else away, the trailer shows silhouettes of way backed up by some heavy bass. It's all very weighty.

Battlefield 3 developer DICE issued some encouraging words to PC gamers in October last year, emphasising that fearful they wouldn't get a "consolized" version of the shooter.
Artwork from US retail mag Game Informer reveals that the game is powered by the brand new Frostbite 2 engine and that it has Call of Duty's crown firmly in its iron sights.
DICE aren't holding back either in this opening reveal salvo with executive producer Patrick Bach calling Frostbite 2 "the best piece of technology on the market when it comes to building games."

Can't wait. Hopefully it'll be a proper BF game - wasn't really a fan of them introducing a campaign into Bad Company.

Yeah, the campaign was sweet but very short, concentrate on the Multiplayer this time cause that is what Battlefield is all about.

I thought BC2's campaign was forgetable at best, but I live and die for the multiplayer. I just love it. BC2 has been my first Battlefield game, though. I have very high hopes for BF3.

As far as I'm concerned Battlefield 2 (not Bad Company 2) on the PC is the greatest team based fps there has ever been. I lost so much time in the huge 64 player maps and the fact that the servers are still full on it now 6 years after release says it all. I have hi hopes for Battlefield 3 and like others I just want it to be maximised for the potential on PC.
