Microsoft's internal Halo studio 343 Industries is not working on a "side story" addition to the series, it's revealed.
Insider "sources" have this afternoon reportedly suggested a November release date for the long-rumoured Halo: Combat Evolved HD remake.
However, the title allegedly isn't being touched up by 343, but rather by Timeshift dev Saber Interactive - leaving Microsoft's team to work on something altogether different...
However, according to an interview over on OXM with 343 boss Frank O'Connor, that definitely won't be a departure from the main plot of the series like Halo: ODST.
"[We have] nothing to announce right now, but I can tell you we're not working on any side stories as games at the moment," he said. "There'll certainly be more Halo fiction entering the universe, but we've no new games to announce right now."
Steady on. No-one mention Halo 4.
