LittleBigPlanet 2: 3.6 million levels uploaded

Try getting through that lot

People who have the time and patience to actually make LittleBigPlanet levels have managed to upload a whooping 3.6 million.

So confirms SCEA marketing man Mark Valledor, who has forwarded his gratitude to the fans via the PS Blog.

"A big THANK YOU for helping us reach 3.6 million levels online," he said. "It's astonishing to see so many levels made for fun, and even levels created for contests."

This sounds like the number of levels created in total for both the LBP games on PS3, although that's not broken down in the post. But LittleBigPlanet 2 is backwards compatible with levels made in its predecessor, so they should all be playable with the sequel.

He went on to detail four level-making contests running right now, so if you consider yourself a dab-hand at creating crazy LBP levels you should check out the Blog (link below) for more info.

Valledor also confirmed that new costumes to make Valentine 's Day will be out next week.

Developer Media Molecule recently confirmed that more official levels will be included with the upcoming Move downloadable update, which also add Move-powered features to the game.

About 80% are probably "hawt anime girlz"" sadly. Or has LBP been spared ? :o Lot of content though, what's the quality like in general?

Official contest is for US citizens only ... yet again American's missing the fact that there are actually other countries in the world other than theirs!

What makes it worse is LBP is made in the UK

Most levels aren't like that at all. You see, CoD takes away all the 12 year olds going through the "penis" phase. As a result, there are few levels themed as such.

Also, there is a section where Media Molecule take the best 100 online levels each week, so you always have top quality levels to play.

Out of these 3.6m levels, 3.5m were made in LBP, then I guess 3m of those levels are FREE TROPHIEZ!!!!!:) levels, there are lots of fantastic user levels in LBP & LBP2, you just got to sift through a lotta crap to find em or you could just look at MM's Picks like multiplayerking suggests.
