Soz, Diablo fans. Activision continues to drag its heels with Diablo 3, with today's investor call only confirming that there's "still no date".
"There's still no date," the firm said in response to queries on the title's whereabouts. Why?

It went on to insist that despite the ongoing lack of a release, "the game's coming along very well," and that it's "very happy with the development process".
However, the firm said that "we're not going to lock in a date" until the game is ready for public beta testing.
And guess what; there's no date for that either. At least we got some new screens in December.
And you thought waiting for a Gran Turismo 5 release date was tedious.

I bet this game will suffer the same fate of one of two games:
1) Duke Nakem Forever: Took 15 years only to get perfectly shaped boobs for Duke to play with.
2) True Crime-Hong Kong: Axed just when it garnered some interest from gamers

Nope not at all.
Blizzard have ALWAYS took there time with there releases until they are gleaming with perfection.
In this sense Activision part don;t really have a say in the matter as Blizzard are pretty much autonomous.
Anyway I think it will release late this year around Sep-Nov. If you look at the history Blizzard tend to announce a release date 2-3 months before release not like 2 years+ which Sony do

You should've just waved some cash, that'd get the release date. Those guys would sell their children.

Everyone knows Blizzard's policy of never releasing a game until they think its perfect, nothing Activison can do to make it go faster, which is pretty much what they said here.

It's probably almost complete but they will be "eyeing" the big releases and strategically place it away from the big guns!
