Was Mass Effect 2 2010's GOTY?

BioWare's sci-fi RPG picks up three IAA awards

Mass Effect 2 has picked up a total of three awards at the 14th annual Interactive Achievement Awards, one of which is the Game of the Year award.

The awards were held yesterday during the D.I.C.E. Summit in Las Vegas.

Mass Effect 2 managed to take the award over Rockstar's Red Dead Redemption, which was nominated in a total of nine categories.

Overall BioWare walked away with awards for Game of the Year, Role Playing / MMO Game of the Year and Outstanding Achievement in Story.
