Bayonetta headed to Xbox download service

Sega's excellent brawler to join the just-arrived Aliens vs. Predator on Games on Demand

Sega has confirmed that Bayonetta will be released as a downloadable game via the Xbox 360's Games on Demand service.

The Platinum Games title is named after its female lead, who packs over-the-top fighting moves and guns on the souls of her shoes, and busts up all kinds of monsters and mythical beings on one of the most mental action games of this generation. It's just what you'd expect from Devil May Cry creator Hideki Kamiya.

Sega has revealed that it'll become available for download directly to your Xbox hard drive as of February 22. If you fancy it, check out our Bayonetta review.

Sega also reminds us that Alien vs. Predator has also just gone live on the Games on Demand service, which features a campaigns for human, alien and predator play, and multiplayer with teams split into those three factions. A full review is here.
