We pretty much knew it was coming, but Sony's now officially confirmed plans to launch a Killzone 3 PS3 bundle - in the States, at least.
Shooter fans will be able to pick up the game along with a 160GB PS3 for $299.99 from February 22.

Earlier this month the online retailer began offering a Killzone 3 320GB PS3 bundle for €348 (£297), so we can probably expect some sort of confirmation from Sony shortly.
Killzone hits the UK on February 25. A pre-release version of the game reportedly hit torrent sites over the weekend.

I wonder if this will sell well, presumably anyone who wants Killzone 3 are fans of Killzone 2. Which means they most likely already have a PS3.
Just thinking out loud.

Got to agree with Sick Loose on this one. The only people I can seeing buy this bundle are those with recently died-ed (its a real word) ps3's or the few who played it on a mate's. To be honest though I don't care if sony never sell another ps3 so long as I get Killzone 3, Uncharted 3 and Resistance 3. (Not strictly true but you know what I mean)

I would think this would sell well but the stand alone ps3 will suffer. If you are a amazon shopper and see a stand alone 160 gb ps3 for 299 and the killzone 3 bundle for the same price, which one would you buy? Sony should just remove the game and start selling the ps3 for $250. Maybe lower the 160 GB to 80GB and sell it for $229. That will lead to a increase in sales.

I wouldn't buy something like this without one.
