Codemasters has confirmed that Operation Flashpoint: Red River will be out on PS3, 360 and PC on April 21 in UK and April 26 in US.

New additions to the series will include a deeper narrative-led campaign a streamlined inventory and control system, refined enemy and squad AI systems, player class roles including customisable XP upgrades and loadout choices, close-quarters combat, new air support options and comprehensive tutorials.
According to GameSpot, the 10-mission campaign will be playable by up to four players, and it will also pack a separate skirmish mode for PvP scenarios and a Firefight-style survival setting with players tackling increasing waves of enemies.

Unless there is a complete change from the last effort, I will not be spending another dollar with anything with Operation Flashpoint in the title.

Wow, I didn't expect this so soon. Considering the last one came out late last year. It'll be a first day purchase for me. Despite the flaws from Dragon Rising I had mucho fun from playing the single player campaign. I also don't think the AI was as broken as some made out. Sure enemies died standing up sometimes and the hit collision was sometimes off but no one ever talks about the fantastic unscripted moments where, for instance, the AI team will hunt you down and pursue you "Behind Enemy Lines" style if you're trying to escape through a forest.
They've dropped the multiplayer element so hopefully they've focused on a great campaign although I'm disapointed with just ten levels. Didn't Cold War Crisis on PC have like 60+?

that voice over was horrid =/
looked forward to dragon rising so much, but it was terrible and was basically unsupported by codemasters.
So i won't be going near this one

Damn, that guy has to be like a relative of Rico or something. I would buy the game just to shoot him. This just looks like patriotic yank s**t to me I'm afraid. "Ima shoot sum Talibanz y'all", with a side of "War is hell kidz". Blarg.

I liked the voiceover, a trailer like a machinima is nice and it helped draw attention from some less than savoury effects.
