Prinny 2: Dawn of Operation Panties, Dood! Review

Far from pants

Disgaea's adorable penguin mascots are back with their second, undoubtedly madcap, platforming adventure.

This time, some evil pervert has stolen demon lord Etna's panties, and it's up to her mistreated minions to recover them.

Cue many knicker-based jokes, and the hardest platforming you'll ever experience. You'll burn through lives faster than Ricky Gervais burns career bridges at a Golden Globes ceremony thanks to fiendishly-placed baddies and awkwardly located platforms.

This isn't helped by the fact that you can't control your Prinny's direction once in the air, meaning frequent flights straight over the desired target, or falling short - say hello to insta-death.

Great, but unfortunately there just isn't anything new here beyond an Easy mode. The run/jump/hack/slash gameplay is exactly the same - this feels more like a download than a sequel.

Still, it's a solid test of skill, bursting with rainbow-coloured worlds, a quirky sense of humour and... lacy panties. Yike.

Order PSM3 here and have it delivered straight to your door.

The verdict

Score
6.0 10

While it doesn't offer anything new it's still a gratifying test of platforming skill, unfortunately it feels more like DLC than a sequel

To be honest I agree with the reviewer and I love the disgea franchise. I've had this game for a while as my son is obsessed with disgea games but its nowt but a mediocre ghouls n ghosts rip off.
