Rovio has confirmed that it will be releasing a version of Angry Birds on Facebook that will contain brand new gameplay features.

The first of its big moves this year, Rovio confirmed, is a Facebook version of the game which will come with significant new features. It didn't go into specifics, but hinted: "There will be completely new aspects to it that just haven't been experienced on any other platform."
It went on to hint: "The pigs will have a more prominent role." We're thinking it could be some form of verses mode with one player taking control of the pigs, but that's just speculation on our part.
Rovio said it also plans to release other Angry Birds spin-offs this year, with driving and sports games named among the highly possible, along with a TV series and movie down the line.
Then a shot at the Presidential chair, we reckon.
The game looks set for 3DS release later this year, as well as big-screen releases on the PS3, Wii and Xbox.

Did mine eyes deceive me? An angry birds movie, really?
Oh dear lord. The world has gone mad, get out while you still can. I suggest stepping infront of a moving bus, it's quick and has potential for collateral damage...
