Nintendo's announced it's to partner with HMV for the official UK launch of the Nintendo 3DS on March 25.
100 HMV stores including its flagship Oxford Street branch will be open at midnight to sell the new handheld, the retailer's confirmed.
Fans attending the Oxford Street launch will receive a special commemorative "launch-night pack", says Nintendo, containing numerous Nintendo rewards including a space blanket(!), limited edition launch t-shirt and an exclusive Nintendo 3DS launch edition of Official Nintendo Magazine.
Additionally, the first 500 customers to purchase a 3DS at the Oxford Street store will each be able to claim a free 3DS game of their choice (tip: get Street Fighter).
Nintendo's also planning an 'exclusive VIP event' at London's Old Billingsgate for 2,000 guests, with tickets being offered to UK 'Club Nintendo' members via email and various competitions.
Queues are naturally expected, with wristbands being allocated to people on a first-come, first-served basis for entry to the launches.
"Nintendo 3DS allows everyone to experience true 3D entertainment by bringing portability, affordability and glasses-free technology together for the first time anywhere in the world," said Nintendo UK GM David Yarnton of the launch.
"In the way Wii brought families together, Nintendo 3DS will bring people together, and we're delighted to be working alongside HMV to make this our biggest launch ever in the UK."
